Kirchberg, Aargau, Switzerland

Between the towns of Küttigen and Biberstein is Kirchberg.  The church for the area is there, and all records that I have access to were records from this little church.  The pastor wrote down the information and made an extra copy for the government of the area.  At some point the records were collected and filmed so that these records could all be accessed in a central location, being the Aargau Archives.  However, we stopped in at the town office of Küttigen, and asked if we could see the originals because the microfilm was not readable on the page I needed.  We were given the opportunity to look and photograph pages of the books.  My only wish is that we had gone there earlier and gotten copies of the original records.  The films are misnamed and hard to find things in.

I have taken a break from extracting the records to try some other things, including a mission for PathwayConnect in Utah, Western Africa and Liberia.  I decided that I would get back to the work of family as soon as I was finished there, but I find myself drawn back in.  Could that have anything to do with Aunt Jewell being on the other side of the veil now?  I suspect so.

Rudolf Wehrli dies 30 Aug 1847.

the note says that Rudolf Wehrli was buried before the time period required by law had passed, on the doctor's recommendation. Perhaps he died from a contageous disease.  After Rudolf's name it says "Herrenbaeuerle", which is likely a nickname and literally means "the lord's farmer".  Translation aka Baerbel Johnson

Magdalena Peter and Rudolf Wehrli marriage not showing in Kirchberg

Previous records showed that Rudolf Wehrli and Magdalena Peter were married in Kirchberg, Aargau, Switzerland on 7 Mar 1802.

Other records of Magdalena Peter show that she was born 24 Mar 1776 in Biberstein, Aargau, CH.
Magdalena died 13 Aug 1815 in Kuettigen, Aargau, Switzerland.

Anna Gygax spent time with her children in this area as well.

This area is part of the lower canton and they tended to be Reformed not Katholic.  Looking in the records of Kirchberg this couple is not listed.  The 7th is also not showing as one of the days they recorded anything happening although it is a Sunday.
